Saffron Masala Chai – This low-caffeine black tea is a tradional masala combination of cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and cardamom, combined with bay leaves and saffron that produces a very silky, smooth, and slightly spicy blend that is known for combating inflammation, hyperpigmentation, and UV radiation.

What you’ll need:

  • 1/2 cup water (4 oz) per serving
  • 1/2 cup whole milk (4 oz) per serving
  • 1 teaspoon of Saffron Masala Chai
  • Sugar, as desired
  • Stainless steel pot
  • Fine mesh strainer

Best way to brew:

  1. Bring water to boil in a pot.
  2. Add the loose leaf tea to the pot and boil for another thirty seconds.
  3. Add whole milk and sugar and return to a boil, stirring constantly.
  4. When it starts to boil, remove from heat.
  5. Strain into a teacup or mug and enjoy your rich cup of Saffron Masala Chai!

Note:
You can substitute the milk with almond milk or oat milk.
If you use low-fat milk (skim, 1%, or 2%), skip the water and use the milk in its place. Adjust sugar according to your preference.
